  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

The course contains several topics concerning rural tourism and agritourism, skills necessary for running the agritourism farm, organisational, legal, insurance requirements, economic meaning of agritourism to local and regional development, economic significance of agritourism activities for farms, local communes and countries.

Lectures

1. Basic information about tourism in Poland and in the world.

Introduction to the basic notions in tourism.

2. Sustainable tourism and integrated regional development. SWOT analysis of the Polish tourism.

3.Introduction with rules of preparation oneself to running business. Agritourism and rural tourism. Rural accommodation.

4.The SWOT analysis of a farm that would like to run agritourism activities. Basic requirements.

5.Tourism and rural tourism in the EU countries and some other ones.

6.Legal requirements in rural tourism. Insurance.

7.Categorisation of rural accommodation.

8.Assimilating of manners of calculation of costs, of prices and profitability. The economic results of rural tourism.

9.Methods of planning and analysing of activities connected with rural tourism and agritourism farms.

10.Interpersonal skills of farm owners. Introduction to specificity and proper organisation of office-works.

11.Agritourism associations, support of a local community, common activities.

12.Introduction to the basic knowledge of tourism marketing.

13.Rural tourism fairs and other forms of promotion and advertising.

14.Additional services performed by farmers and local residents.

Knowledge:

Student understands the basic theoretical knowledge of tourism, wider knowledge of rural tourism and agritourism, requirements and law regulations and basic knowledge of the economic side of agritourism activity

Skills:

Can conduct SWOT analysis for a farm that would like to start or improve agritourism activity

Can prepare bisnessplan for agritourism farm

Social competence:

Appriciates need of improving knowledge and skills in conducting agritourism activity

Understands need of lifelong learning

Lectures: evaluation of written examination - about 10 topics

Classes: Preparation of a project

90% positive evaluation of a project and paper

10% activity during classes

Grade E (2.0) Very low level of understanding , less than 40%

Grade D (3.0) Basic information about the lectures and lab practicals, 45-55%

Grade C (3.5) Ability to discuss any problem at the intermediatelevel 60%

Grade B (4.0) Good understanding of the subject, ability to ask about different issues, 70%

Grade B+ (4.5) Very good knowledge about the subject, student is interested in the subject and asks for more information, works on his own 85%

Grade A (5.0) Excellent understanding, full discussion, very good lab practicals more than 90%
