  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

Improving skills in speaking, listening and understanding and writing at B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), developing communication skills in English in a fluent and spontaneous way on specific and abstract topics, including understanding discussion on agricultural topics, developing skills in understanding written and spoken texts in standard English version as well as writing for and against essays, descriptions and formal letters.

1.Greenhouses and greenhouse production Grammar: Past Perfect, Conditional III

2.Houseplants : classification, names of the most popular ones. Grammar: Passive Voice.

3.Fruit farming; site selection, soil, pollination, plant planting, pruning. Grammar: Reported Speech – part I

4.Vegetable farming; vegetable classification according to botanical families and the edible part. Grammar: Reported Speech – part II.

5.Herbs, their different properties and usage as spices, medicine, in cosmetology etc. Revision ( texts 1-5)

6.Farm animal zoonoses

7.Poultry health and disease. Grammar: gerund and infinitive

8.Male, female names of farm animals, farming dual-purpose cattle. Students` presentations. Grammar; modal verbs for deduction

9.Food safety and food additives. Grammar: have something done. Summary writing. Revision (texts 6-9)
